Why Mind Rehab Exists

Built by people who have worked inside the system.

We specialize in mental health, substance use, court literacy, and reentry education built for the realities of correctional settings.

Mind Rehab was developed by clinicians and correctional professionals who understand how trauma, addiction, untreated mental illness, legal confusion, and lack of support can drive cycles of crisis, incarceration, and reentry instability. Each program is grounded in evidence-based practices and refined through a thorough peer-review process for accuracy, clinical relevance, readability, and correctional appropriateness.

A Whole-Person Approach

Reentry is more than a release date.

Successful reintegration into society requires more than job training or education. It begins with mental health stability, and it extends through every dimension of a life being rebuilt: family, community, faith, work, recovery.

Mind Rehab combines clinical care, peer support, and a connected network so the work that starts inside continues long after release.

Founder & CEO

Ashley Miller, PMHNP-BC, is the founder and CEO of Mind Rehab. A board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, she brings nearly a decade of frontline experience working with incarcerated populations across intake, medical units, housing units, facility management, and psychiatric care.

Her career has been shaped by the people she met inside, whose untreated trauma, addiction, and mental illness drove cycles of recidivism that traditional rehabilitation could not break. She founded Mind Rehab to bring real, clinically grounded mental health programming into the spaces that need it most: the facilities themselves and the months immediately before and after release.

Ashley operates on a single, deeply held principle: never judge. Treat everyone as an equal. That ethic guides every module, workshop, and resource the team produces.

SVP, Correctional Partnerships

Mike Bumpus, MBA, leads Mind Rehab's relationships with correctional facilities and the tablet platforms that serve them. He holds degrees in criminal justice management and business administration, with a career anchored in Internal Affairs work inside correctional facilities.

That operational experience shapes how Mind Rehab is built. Mike understands the security, staffing, and budgetary realities that sheriffs and wardens face every day. He positions Mind Rehab as a cost-effective, scalable, and operationally compatible solution that integrates with the tablets your facility already deploys, without adding hardware, headcount, or vendor complexity.

He is the team member that sheriffs and facility administrators talk to when they want to understand exactly how Mind Rehab fits into existing workflows, what outcomes to expect, and how to bring the program inside their walls.
